About fractalartist01
I am retired from being a licensed makeup-artist/trainer for over 30 years; traveling the Washington beltway area for big names such as Clinique, Lancome, and many others. I did freelance makeup work for local music videos as well as weddings. Understanding color has always sort of been easy and natural for me. I have been told that I have 'an eye for it.' I also earned a certificate in both color-analysis and image-consulting and have done large image consulting presentations as well as thousands of one-on-ones.
Being noticed for my singing voice has also given me some unique opportunities through the years. I have sung in some local musicals, and for our local chorus group, here in Maryland. I have belted out songs (with no microphone) for weddings in large and small venues-a few were done a cappella. Most memorable: a wedding in a gazebo on the water... and one through an open picture window of a mansion on a mountain top! My brother is also a singer and we sang duets for many weddings.
My family has always been very important to me. I am a wife of 50 years (in 2024), mother of two grown sons who I am very proud of. I am also a grandmother. (Nana RoRo) :D We have owned a dog and several cats through the years.
Having won my first coloring contest when I was just six years old-I should have known I would be an artist. It was only when I began to have some free time for myself (after the kids were out of school) that I discovered my sons' PC and the web-and eventually, began to dabble in digital art. My family will tell you that I am definitely an 'addict'...preferring to paint over almost any and everything else. (except perhaps reading a good e-book!) lol I never tire trying new things in Photoshop. My desk chair is well-worn!
Several basic classes were available online for Photoshop and Corel PSP. Revealing my digital art work to others was a slow process for me since I'm a perfectionist. (which can be both a blessing & a curse) Most of what I know about Photoshop has been an ongoing process of self-teaching/experimenting/trial & error. After finishing my coding classes, I realized that I am a true "right-brainer" (creative person) and much prefer designing artist resource tools and painting over the boring lol administrative type tasks of generating and maintaining a commercial website. (and coding)
So I made the decision to start out by working as a broker/partner with others for a while (till I decide if I ever want to have my own commercial site) I was a good design resource customer at Renderosity and had always enjoyed myself whenever I came to visit!
At the moment, I am working as a moderately successful vendor for Renderosity and several other online stores that feature digital scrap booking and art resource tools. Some of my best resources for digital artists are my Photoshop Layer Styles and am probably best known for my gem/jewelry/bling styles and creations. I also offer some texture and jewel packs. Along with Seamless background overlays and brushes. My plan is to grow as a digital resource artist and perhaps venture into the 3D world...someday. But there are still so many things on my to do list that I want to create in 2D. I still have much learning and growing to do as an artist! When the time comes that I can't learn anymore, I will probably be dead. :)
And if you haven't guessed yet-the name of my business when I was a makeup artist/cosmetics manager and image consultant has always been:
COLOR PALETTE DESIGNS so, when I began selling digital art resources, I didn't see any need to change the name. :)

I learn so much whenever I am here and want to again thank the entire Renderosity artistic community and staff for all of your help, support, generosity-and for making me feel so welcome here. My only wish is that there be a little more focus on the 2D resources in addition to the 3D creations.
Thanks for your interest and for stopping by!
